A learning and development professional with over 30 years of leadership, management, consultancy and interim experience spanning 4 continents. I have established, run and turned around large learning organizations .and ran my own niche learning, development and coaching consultancy for 11 years. I have worked with multiple governments on skills strategies, national occupational standards, qualification frameworks and even migration! I am qualified as an Executive Coach and Mentor, and trained in wellbeing and career coaching. I currently work primarily as an internal coach and supervisor, but have a small private practice and I am currently working towards my coaching supervision qualification.
Envision Supervision' Working with Reluctant Supervisees in a Cross-cultural Context
Introducing supervision into an organization with over 60 nationalities, in which the coaching culture is not yet developed, is challenging! The workshop explores strategies and approaches to meet the needs of the coaches from different cultural backgrounds and experiences, many of whom are reluctant supervisees. Participants will be able to discuss a proposed a framework for supervision for diversity , including considering the merits of directive, non-directive, research-based, narrative and storytelling approaches, which will also inform coach and supervisor CPD.
